Walking through the front door of Kat Cadegan’s home is a sensory delight. Fresh flowers lean with casual decadence out of handcrafted ceramic vases, eclectic art hangs on the walls.
Her young daughter dances to music floating through the house, and collected treasures fight for elbow room on window sills. The kitchen shelves tell stories of Kat’s adventures and her love of craft.
Kat’s metalsmithing journey began in 2006 when she took a jewellery making class in Pushkar, India. She continued to hone her craft throughout travels in Southeast Asia, the mountains of Mexico, and the eastern shores of Canada.
In Kat’s designs there has always been a stylistic synergy between experience and expression, a melding of tradition and freshness, and above all a keen eye for beauty.
A passion for the environment and humanitarian causes drives Kat to push for excellence in her sourcing of materials, and influences the way she chooses to do business.
Kat's love of quality and craftsmanship are the driving forces behind her work. In a world of mass production, Kat strives to create jewellery that reminds us of how things should be, well made and built to last.
