There’s a spot along the river where I walk my dog. It was once an old homestead that got flooded when the dam was built and now it’s all overgrown. The grass grows wild and unruly and by the end of each summer, it’s so tall you can almost get lost in it. Sometimes, when the days feel a bit too long and the world a bit too much, that’s exactly what I do.
