We want everyone to have the perfect Cinderella fit.

If you require a size other than what is available online, please use the note section when checking out to specify your size. We can accommodate resizing up or down 2-2.5 full sizes depending on the ring. There may be a sizing charge for some of our gold rings that need to be sized up.

If you require a size beyond this range please contact us info@katcadegan.com or call in store: 250-683-9037

If you are unsure of your ring size, we recommend going to a jewellery store to have your size checked. If you are not able to make it to a jewellery store, you can order a free ring sizer HERE.

We understand that sometimes you realize you need your ring sized after wearing it for a while. We are happy to offer complimentary sizing for the first 6 months following your purchase. Sizing requests beyond the six month mark will be subject to a sizing fee.

Please note:

  • If your ring was complimentary sized at the time of purchase, it is not eligible for an additional complimentary sizing.
  • Once an in stock ring has been sized, it is considered final sale and can not be returned or exchanged.
  • Resizing of rings by a goldsmith that has not been authorized by Kat Cadegan Jewellery will void the warranty.
Diamond

Hardness:

Diamonds are a perfect 10 on the Mohs scale, making them the hardest natural substance known to man. This exceptional hardness ensures that diamonds are not only breathtakingly beautiful but also incredibly durable, capable of withstanding daily wear with ease. Their unmatched toughness makes diamonds the top choice for engagement rings and heirloom jewellery destined to be cherished for generations.

Color Range & Varieties:

Diamonds come in a array of colours, from the classic colourless variety to fancy coloured diamonds in shades of yellow, pink, blue, and beyond. While colourless diamonds are prized for their purity and brilliance, fancy coloured diamonds are valued for their rare and vibrant hues.

Origin:

Diamonds are found around the world, with significant sources including Africa, Australia, Russia, and Canada. Since the war in Ukraine began, we have taken every measure possible to ensure none of our diamonds are of Russian origin. Boycotting all trade with Russia is something we feel very strongly about.

Stability:

Diamonds are renowned for their exceptional stability and durability,  even after centuries of wear a diamond can shine bright. Resistant to scratching, abrasion, and chemical corrosion, diamonds are virtually indestructible, ensuring that they remain as brilliant and breathtaking as the day they were cut.

Treatments:

While natural diamonds are treasured for their inherent beauty, some diamonds may undergo treatments to enhance their appearance or colour. Common treatments include laser drilling to remove inclusions, fracture filling to improve clarity, and high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) treatment to alter colour. These treatments can enhance the beauty and value of a diamond, ensuring that it radiates with unparalleled brilliance and charm.

Spiritual Properties:

Diamonds have long been revered for their spiritual significance, symbolizing purity, perfection, and enlightenment across cultures and civilizations. As a stone of clarity and wisdom, diamonds are believed to enhance mental clarity, promote spiritual growth, and amplify positive energies. They are also associated with strength, resilience, and invincibility, serving as talismans of protection and empowerment for those who wear them.

Kat Cadegan Jewellery is handcrafted with love and as such requires the proper care and attention. Wearing your pieces regularly is one of the best ways to prevent tarnishing. When you are not wearing your jewellery, it is important to keep your pieces properly stored. Rings should be kept in their ring boxes and sterling silver & bronze pieces should be stored in the plastic bag provided to reduce oxidation.

Over time- air pollutants, dust, perspiration, perfumes, and other natural elements can dull the lustre of metals and gemstones. We recommend using a soft polishing cloth to polish your pieces. You can also use a soft bristle toothbrush with warm soapy water to help to remove any residues that build up on the metal. If your jewellery has a matte finish, you may also use baking soda to help remove any residue.

The following guidelines will help you to maintain your jewellery in its original condition. If you find yourself thinking you should take your jewellery off- listen to that voice.

Do

  • Follow the rule of last on, first off.
  • Apply all of your lotions and potions and perfumes before putting on your jewellery
  • Remove your jewellery prior to physical activity to avoid unnecessary stress or friction.
  • Remove jewellery before sleep.
  • Remove jewellery before swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs to avoid tarnishing and discolouration. The chemicals found in pools and hot tubs can be very damaging to your jewellery.
  • Wipe your jewellery with a clean, soft cloth before returning it to storage to remove oils and dirt.
  • Use a polishing cloth to give your pieces a bright shine
  • Avoid oxidization (tarnishing) and scratching by storing your jewellery individually in the velvet pouches and ring boxes provided
  • Bring your jewellery in annually for a cleaning and inspection. This is a required part of our warranty. If you notice a stone moving, a prong catching or you’ve had an incident- don’t wait, bring your piece in for a check up. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Do Not

  • Do not use cleaning solutions with abrasives or ammonia, as harsh chemicals can damage gemstones and metals. Warm soapy water with a soft bristle toothbrush is your best friend.
  • Do not garden, lift weights, change tires or kick box with your rings on.
  • Do not wet oxidized (blackened) or patina (blue & purple) Kat Cadegan jewellery pieces. The patina is a surface treatment and can be removed or damaged by water. If you make a mistake and get it wet- fear not, we can fix it for you.

When in doubt, use common sense. If you think you shouldn’t have your jewellery on- take it off!

If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message. We are always happy to help.

At Kat Cadegan, we believe in the power of connection and the importance of sharing our passions. We handcraft pieces to celebrate life’s moments, to hold memories and to bring beauty into the world. With each piece we make, our goal is simple: to create heirlooms that will be treasured for generations to come.

Our gemstone pieces feature carefully selected stones,  sourced from trusted suppliers around the world. Each gemstone or diamond is chosen for its unique qualities, ensuring that every item is truly one-of-a-kind. While we may recreate certain styles, the natural variation of gemstones means that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. As a result, we do not restock identical rings, guaranteeing the distinctive nature of each creation.

In our photography and videos, we strive for authenticity to accurately represent gemstone colours. However, we acknowledge that differences in monitor or phone settings may affect how colours appear to you.
